She's still out.
Turt 3 has moved farther away from the reservoir and has bunkered down amid a large patch of dried annual grasses and horsemint. This seems to be a slightly different behavior than when she left the reservoir previously and went to ground. I would almost say she looks like she is thinking about nesting, yet no eggs were felt when we palpated her previously. I left a video camera on her and went to check the rest of the gang. Everyone else was still in the reservoir, although there was a large amount of movement up under the willow at the south end.
Also almost stepped on this guy while I was tromping through the swale looking for turt3. Nice male gophersnake (Pituophis catenifer).
