Thank You, bovines.

Well, RGO reported yesterday that the reservoir was torn up quite a bit from cows. I had the 1am shift today and can confirm that the vegetated swale end 'aka the nursery' has been pretty well destroyed. The vegetation is trampled and torn out in places and there are several muck spots that look almost like wallows. Not to mention the substantial 'deposits' left behind. Amid the wreckage were the bodies of a tiny hatchling turtle (likely another 08 overwinterer) and a Bufo squished into a hoofprint. The adult turts were nowhere to be seen and transmitters 2 and 5 are having issues with signal strength, while 6 is still squealing. Another large adult (female) bullfrog was removed, leaving one more in residence that needs to go.
