Anxiety sets in.

SO. Turt3 has been out now for 3 days and has made a nice little burrow for herself. After the second day of surveys with almost no turts visible in the reservoir, the decision was made to try and do a drag and catch anyone who might still be in there. 3 hours and 4 turtles later, the feeling that we missed the chance to catch a few more before they migrated out is verified by the lack of turts caught. We did, however, nab turt6 whose transmitter has been dead for a week now. And now we also know why his transmitter was dead....




I took the liberty of freeing him of the burden. So now we have 1 male left (the beast) still wearing a transmitter, the other 6 are girls.

There were definitely a few more turts hunkered down under the willow, but we still have no good methodology for capturing those guys. An 08 hatchling was also seen up under the willow.
